Case study · JP Oils

Putting a family-run supplier in front of the right people

JP Oils is a family-run lubricant and fuel supplier in the North West, run by owners who still go out on deliveries themselves. They had the expertise and the loyal customers, but not the time to show either of them online.

JP Oils

Busy yards.

Busy weeks.

The challenge

Existing customers trusted JP Oils because they knew the people behind it. New customers had no way of seeing that. Social media went out when there was time, which wasn't often, and the knowledge behind every delivery stayed in the yard.

What I did

The work, week in, week out

Each platform has its own job: LinkedIn for trade buyers, Facebook for longer local stories, and Instagram for short, visual updates.

Audience strategy

A full audience and content framework built around their four core sectors: transport, industrial, agricultural and motorsport.

Daily LinkedIn

Posting every working day, with practical content for the people who buy and specify lubricants.

Expertise-led content

Guides on grease selection, hydraulic oils and common AdBlue myths, so JP Oils becomes the first people buyers think to ask.

Motorsport storytelling

Following the riders JP Oils sponsors at the Isle of Man TT, the Southern 100 and the Manx Grand Prix.

Reels and photography

Calm, real footage of the yard, the fleet and deliveries, showing the business exactly as it is.

Local targeting

An ad strategy focused on North West businesses within 30 to 50 miles of Wigan.

On location

The yard, the fleet and the people

In their words

We've always been busy, but outside the trade nobody really saw what we do. Holly gets the yard, the fleet and the team across properly, and it still sounds like us. We get on with running the business and the posts just go out.
